Most vehicles have regular maintenance intervals as well as similar recommended service items.
Average intervals include 3,500 miles or 3 month oil and filter service. 7,500 miles or 6 month oil and filter service, tire rotation, top off all fluids and overall inspection. 15,000 miles or 12 month oil and filter service, tire rotation, change other filters and lubricants as needed and overall inspection. 30,000 miles or 24 month oil and filter service, tire rotation change other filters and lubricants, replacement of worn parts, make required adjustments and overall inspection.
These intervals are continuous throughout a vehicles life. Vehicles with high mileage or years of use may require adjustments and replacement of normal wearing parts that are not required during a normal service interval. Normal wearing parts include: Brake pads, shoes, rotors, drums. Timing belt, drive belts and hoses. Spark plugs, coils, cap and rotor and cables. Battery. Air conditioning refrigerant. Shocks & struts. Clutch disc, pressure plate, bearing and flywheel. These items wear during normal vehicle use and may need service or replacement in-between a regular service interval.
